COMPOSER FOR NARRATIVE MEDIA

Spencer Channell is a Los Angeles–based composer whose orchestral, motif‑driven scores bring clarity, emotional depth, and musical memorability to narrative media, with work spanning film, theater, dance, narrative audio, and games.

A recipient of Interlochen Arts Academy’s Young Artist award, Spencer grew up accompanying musical theater in Columbus, Ohio. He became a sought-after music director and coach in New York City due to his highly-developed instincts and ability to play piano by ear.

As a screenwriter, Spencer’s produced work has won awards at festivals in the U.S. and internationally. His zombie horror class satire Unprecedented Times is a semifinalist at the 2026 Austin Film Festival Script Competition, in the top 2% of 12,500+ entries.

He lives in Hollywood, where he spends his time cooking and exploring local hiking trails.
