COMPOSER FOR NARRATIVE MEDIA
Spencer Channell is a Los Angeles–based composer whose orchestral, motif‑driven scores bring clarity, emotional depth, and musical memorability to narrative media, with work spanning film, theater, dance, narrative audio, and games.
A recipient of Interlochen Arts Academy’s Young Artist award, he grew up accompanying musical theater in Columbus, Ohio. He later became a sought-after music director and coach in New York City due to his highly-developed instincts and ability to play piano by ear.
As a screenwriter, Spencer’s produced work has won awards at festivals in the U.S. and internationally. His background in story structure, character development, and genre writing informs his scoring process and deepens his creative partnerships.
He lives in Hollywood, where he spends his time composing, writing, and exploring local hiking trails.
